FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Quarantine Opera: the music continues!
Quarantine Opera (QO) will release their third production “Toreador”, from Bizet’s Carmen, this Thursday (16/07) after the success of the first two productions gaining worldwide attention. With over 1 million views and 10,000 followers on social media, QO are reshaping the world of classical music.
“Toreador” will feature 75 musicians from 25 different countries, featuring professional musicians from the world’s most prestigious opera houses, and amateurs alike. This follows the QO initiative: to attract a wide variety of enthusiastic performers, all of whom are connected by their passion of performing music.
"Our vision, of connecting people around the world through opera and thus creating something positive from this unique situation with global quarantine, has become a reality" says CEO Marika Schultze. Music Director, Fergus McAlpine, said: “The QO has not only reignited the artistic spark that we’ve needed but also created a global community of musicians. To do this and spread it as widely as we have is something very special indeed!”
